On Wednesday, May 13th, the feast of Our Lady of
Fatima, St. Ethelreda students and staff celebrated our annual May
Crowing. The special day began with Holy Mass celebrated
by Fr. Donald.
We then honored Mary, the Mother of Jesus, with
songs, prayers and poems that expressed our gratitude for her loving care for
us and her powerful intercession to God on our behalf.
Students who received the Sacraments of Baptism
and First Holy Communion wore their lovely dresses and suits, and all of the
Catholic students presented fresh flowers to Our Blessed Mother.
Eighth grade student Felicia Peoples, assisted
by Biahje Benson, crowned a statue of Mary.
We thank God for
giving us this beautiful and joyful day!
