Calculating Thank You

Our friends at St. Therese School in Chinatown ran into a surplus of new calculators that were unwanted by their manufacturer. They generously donated more than 100 of the calculators to St. Ethelreda School! Our students are using the new calculators in science and math classes.

Ms. Finn says the calculators are of great use in teaching math to our 5th and 6th graders. "We developed a sixth grade calculator activity," Ms. Finn said. "They are very helpful in allowing the students to verify the order of operations."

Mrs. Leonard teaches math in 3rd grade. "The calculators are a great addition. We worked on averages and finding means. The students use the calculators to check their own work."

We send a special calculator thank you to the principal of St. Therese School, Mrs. Phyllis Cavallone for thinking of us and helping St. Ethelreda students. Thank you Principal Phyllis!

  1. Thank you for the calculators. The 4th grade has been using them for checking their work for accuracy. We appreciate the generous donation.
