Book Report Island

Students visiting Book Report Island

Book Report Island is an exciting, new feature in our library.

St. Ethelreda recently received donations of nearly 400 new books to our library. With a little work by our librarian, Ms. Bruessel, these new books became "Book Report Island".

You can see many (wonderful) pictures of our readers and learn all about Book Report Island here:
Book Report Island at the Library Page

In short, students that visit Book Report Island are asked to contribute a book report when they checkout a new book. So, the process for students is:
  1. Checkout a new book
  2. Read the book
  3. Return with a book report
It's easy!

We're also having a number of book report contests. Students writing the most book reports will be recognized at the end of the school year. Special lunch/snacks await classes where everyone in the class submits a book report.

Thank you to our librarian, Ms. Bruessel, for the extra effort in setting everything up and making Book Report Island happen. Thanks also to our teachers for encouraging the students in this project. We also definitely want to thank those who donated books to St. Ethelreda School. Thank you very much!

Book Report Island is brand new, so we'll post more later... as the book reports wash ashore.
Stay tuned.
