Catholic Schools Week - 2nd Grade Activities

To mark this year’s Catholic Schools Week, the 2nd grade students had a series of activities on each day of the week:
  • Monday - math trivia
  • Tuesday - class spelling bee
  • Wednesday - participation in the all-school spelling bee
  • Thursday - Brain Quest
  • Friday - movie entitled, ‘The winners got this price too.’
It was a fun-filled week for the students!

Also, discussing the importance of Catholic Schools’ Week, students were of the opinion that in addition to the academic enrichment they always experience during the Catholic Schools’ Week, it also gives them the opportunity to live out their Catholic identity, attending church on Sundays at their various parishes and at school on Wednesdays. According to the Catholic faith, the celebration of the Holy Eucharist is the highest and all-inclusive prayer one could say.
