On behalf of the Board of Specified Jurisdiction, I want to express how excited we are to work with you during this 2012-2013 school year. We plan to make Saint Ethelreda School, not only an exciting and unique school, but also the best school in the Archdiocese.
The Board is set up to assist Mrs. Spells in areas such as fundraising, curriculum, enrollment, and building improvements. For this school year we have some ambitious and exciting initiatives. We have worked with the Big Shoulders Foundation to improve the washrooms downstairs, and we are continuing our partnership with Benedictine University in which Benedictine professors come on a regular basis to work with our teachers and students. Additionally, we are working with Benedictine to bring Benedictine Education students to work with our students and teachers. In the areas of fundraising and marketing we are currently working on our Fall Alumni Reunion on October 20, 2012.
One of the Board’s goals is to increase parent awareness of Board actions and activities. To support this initiative I am inviting you to attend any and all of our meetings. We meet the second Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM downstairs. The dates for future meetings are:
